History
Rev. John King and Rev. Hale, of the World Church of the Creator created Festum Album in the early 2000's as the first recognized festival of White racial pride, heritage, and history celebration. The stated goal was to "give Whites an alternative to the existing holidays as well as give them an opportunity to celebrate themselves and history." The rituals of the weeklong holiday use Latin and the native language of the people celebrating it.

Principles and symbols
Festum Album celebrates seven different themes on the seven different days:

1. History (Historia) "We shall take great pride in the historical achievements of our people."
2. Destiny (Fatum) "We ponder the glorious future awaiting our people"
3. Unity (Unitas) "United as one, we will be fully in control of our destiny."
4. Ingenuity (Sollertia) "We honor all of our great artists, scientists, builders, explorers, philosophers, and thinkers."
5. Memorial (Memoria) "We commemorate and remember the memory of those selfless individuals, soldiers, heroes and statesmen who devoted their lives to the defense and advancement of our people and territory."
6. Law (Lex) "We recognize that these laws are immutable and that to disobey them is to engage in the folly of self-destruction."
7. Purity (Puritas) "We understand that during our lifetime, we are entrusted with the golden link in this eternal chain of life."

The only symbol of Festum Album at this time is the candelabra and the three main colors that are used for the candles: red, black and white. The red symbolizes our holy blood and is the color for the center Purity (Puritas) candle in the middle of the candelabra. White symbolizes the holiness and purity of our Creative virtues. Black symbolizes the solemnity of the struggle to retain our culture and virtues.

Popularity
The festival is celebrated mostly by the 50,000+ adherents of the Creativity religion, though the religion is becoming more mainstream.

Observance
The common Yule and Christmas Pagan practices of having a tree and wreaths and mistletoe as well as the other aspects associated with Christmas time are allowed to be incorporated into the Festum Album celebration.

The candle lighting ceremony takes place after sunset with the head of the household leading it. When all the family is gathered around the candelabra, he asked what the "lesson" of the day is and one of the family members says in English and Latin "the lesson of this day is ________." The family member is allowed to then light the candle of the day and then the head of the household recites the text of the lesson of the day, first in Latin and then in English. After the recitation, the head of the family talks about the importance of the lesson to the family. After the discussion, the candle is extinguished. After that, parents give their children small gifts usually.

On the first night of the celebration, the “History” candle shall be lit. On the second night, a child shall light the “History” candle first before the head of the household asks, “What is the lesson of the day.” On the 7th and last night of the celebration, all six of the black and white candles shall be lit first, in the correct order, before beginning the ceremony in honor of “Purity”.

At the close of the ceremony on the 7th day, the day of purity, the red “Purity” candle shall not be extinguished, whereas the others will. The red “Purity” candle shall be allowed to burn by itself for one hour before being extinguished.
